We’re delighted to be taking part in From Behind Closed Doors — Winchester’s first festival dedicated to the city’s creative industries. Taking place over the weekend of 25–26 April, the event brings together architects, designers, makers and creative studios, offering a rare opportunity to experience the work that usually happens quietly behind the scenes.

Creatives Exhibition

As part of the Creative Winchester Exhibition, Adam Knibb Architects will be exhibiting alongside a curated group of leading local creative businesses including Rodd, We Mean This, Out of Nothing, Studio 3015 and Peagreen. The exhibition showcases the breadth of creative talent across the city — from architecture and branding to product design, digital media and fashion.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday & Sunday, 25th/26th April, at the Winchester School of Art, West Side Exhibition space, and admission is FREE.

Open Studio Tour

Alongside the exhibition, we’ll also be opening our studio as part of the Open Studios Tour, giving visitors the chance to meet the team, explore our workspace and gain insight into our design process and recent projects. The open studios programme is designed to provide a genuine behind-the-scenes experience and create opportunities for collaboration, conversation and inspiration.

Supporting Emerging Talent

A key part of the festival is its focus on supporting emerging talent, including a 24-hour design challenge bringing together students and industry professionals to respond to a live design brief — with the results displayed as part of the exhibition. The initiative aims to strengthen connections between education and practice and celebrate Winchester’s growing creative community.

We’re proud to be involved in this collaborative new event and to contribute to showcasing the creativity and innovation happening across Winchester.
